Assistant Principal- Dr. Ryan Bandy

Dr. Bandy is a proud graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South, and he went on to further his education at the University of Chattanooga. For the past 22 years, he has served Walker County Schools in various roles—including social studies teacher, coach, and assistant principal.

When he's not at work, Dr. Bandy enjoys traveling the world, immersing himself in new cultures and experiences. A lifelong learner at heart, he finds joy in expanding his understanding of the world. His wife is also a dedicated educator, having worked as a school counselor in Walker County Schools for the past 28 years. When they’re not traveling, they enjoy spending time at home with their many pets. Dr. Bandy is also an avid fan of baseball, sci-fi movies, and live music.

He believes in a leadership philosophy rooted in service to others, innovation, and efficiency—all aimed at producing the best outcomes for students and the community. After graduating from college, Dr. Bandy began his career in Walker County and quickly realized it was the place he wanted to dedicate his career.

Dr. Bandy is thrilled to join the Lafayette Middle School team and looks forward to continuing to serve the students, staff, and greater community.

Principal- Mr. Adam Crowley

We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Adam Crowley as the new principal of LaFayette Middle School! A familiar and trusted leader in our community, Mr. Crowley has served the past four years as assistant principal at LMS. His passion for education, commitment to student success, and dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture make him an exceptional choice to lead our school forward.

Mr. Crowley is a firm believer in the power of strong school-community partnerships. He values open communication, shared responsibility, and collaboration among families, educators, and community members to support every student. His leadership philosophy centers on creating a school environment where all students feel known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.

He began his career teaching Algebra and ACT/SAT prep at East Ridge High School. After relocating to Georgia, he began teaching at Gordon Lee Middle School, where he taught 8th-grade math. In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Crowley has coached a variety of sports, including baseball, football, and volleyball, emphasizing leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

Mr. Crowley holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He later earned a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Augusta University.

Mr. Crowley and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of three children—Austin, Maddy, and Deedy. Their family continues to grow with the addition of their daughter-in-law, Mallory, who is married to Austin. Together, they all enjoy traveling and exploring the world, creating lasting memories through shared experiences.
