Principal- Mr. Adam Crowley

Mr. Adam Crowley is the principal of LaFayette Middle School! A familiar and trusted leader in our community, Mr. Crowley has served the past four years as assistant principal at LMS. His passion for education, commitment to student success, and dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture make him an exceptional choice to lead our school forward.

Mr. Crowley is a firm believer in the power of strong school-community partnerships. He values open communication, shared responsibility, and collaboration among families, educators, and community members to support every student. His leadership philosophy centers on creating a school environment where all students feel known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.

He began his career teaching Algebra and ACT/SAT prep at East Ridge High School. After relocating to Georgia, he began teaching at Gordon Lee Middle School, where he taught 8th-grade math. In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Crowley has coached a variety of sports, including baseball, football, and volleyball, emphasizing leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

Mr. Crowley holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He later earned a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Augusta University.

Mr. Crowley and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of three children—Austin, Maddy, and Deedy. Their family continues to grow with the addition of their daughter-in-law, Mallory, who is married to Austin. Together, they all enjoy traveling and exploring the world, creating lasting memories through shared experiences.

Assistant Principal- Mr. Brent Mobbs

For more than two decades, I have dedicated my life to education, leadership, and serving students. As I complete my 22nd year in education, I reflect on a career that has included 16 years teaching Physical Education, two years in middle school Special Education inclusion, and now the beginning of my fifth year in administration. Every step of this journey has strengthened my passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.

In addition to teaching and administration, coaching has been one of the greatest joys of my career. Over the years, I have coached Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Fishing, and Golf at both the middle and high school levels. Athletics have provided countless opportunities to mentor young people, build character, and teach the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Jacksonville State University and later completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Georgia Southern University. While education has always been my calling, stepping into administration has expanded my ability to make a positive impact on students, teachers, families, and the entire school community.

Outside of school, family is at the center of my life. My wife, Emily, and I have been married for 25 years, and she has also served in education as a teacher, high school administrator, and now at the county office level as a director. Together, we have raised two wonderful children, Brody and Libby, on the family farm. Brody graduated from Georgia Northwestern Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management and now works in construction. Libby will begin her second year studying Occupational Therapy this fall at Chattahoochee Technical College.

Our family is proud to be the eighth generation to live and work on the farm, where we raise grass-fed beef cattle, care for a few chickens that keep us stocked with fresh eggs, and enjoy life alongside our four dogs. We are active members of Chesterfield Baptist Church and are grateful for the strong sense of faith and community that shapes our lives.

When I’m not at school or on the farm, you’ll likely find me spending time with family, hunting, fishing, or enjoying a round of golf. No matter the setting — in the classroom, on the field, or at home — my greatest passion is investing in people and making a difference in the lives of others.
